     Ann was born at Portknockie, Banffshire, Scotland, on 23 August 1848.1 She was the daughter of James Mair and Mary Wood. Ann Mair was baptized on 7 September 1848 at Parish of Cullen, Banffshire, Scotland.1 Her family was known by the tee-name of "Bobbin".
She was listed as head of household's daughter in the 1851 census at Pulteney Street, Portknockie, Banffshire, Scotland. Those recorded in the household were: James Mair, head; Mary Mair, wife; Ann Mair, daughter; James Mair, son.2
Ann died on 14 May 1921 at age 72.
