John Mair was a fisherman. He married Margaret Donaldson at The Grand Hotel, South Street, Elgin, Moray, Scotland, on 10 September 1912.5 He was the informant for Margaret Pirie's death at 28 Seafield Street, Portknockie, Banffshire, Scotland, on 19 February 1922.6 The Buckie and District Directory for 1925 shows that John Mair lived at 6 Station Road, Portknockie, Banffshire, Scotland. The house was called 'Fleur-de-Lys.7' He was the informant for, and present at, John Mair's death at 3 Cliff Terrace, Portknockie, Banffshire, Scotland, on 16 December 1929.8 John died on 14 April 1962 at age 76.9,10 His body was interred after 14 April 1962 at Portknockie, Moray, Scotland, at Hillhead Cemetery.10
