Alexander's page

Hi, I'm Alexander.

I'm a STAR WARS fan.

I have seen all of the films and have a 'STAR WARS Ultimate Lightsabre' which you can use to build different types of lightsabre. I am a Jedi Padawan and have battled Darth Vader twice.

The first time was when Dad took William and me to the STAR WARS exhibition in London in June 2007, where I attended Jedi School.

The second time was at Disney MGM Studios in Florida in December 2007 when I took part in Jedi training.

Also at the exhibition in London, William and I each practised battling with our lightsabres in front of a 'green screen' and were filmed as if we were part of a real STAR WARS film!

I enjoy playing computer games.

On the PC I have RollerCoaster Tycoon, RollerCoaster Tycoon 2, RollerCoaster Tycoon 3, LEGO Island 2, LEGO Star Wars, LEGO Star Wars II, Hornby Virtual Railway, Hornby Virtual Railway 2 and Marine Park Empire.

I've created some incredible rollercoasters in RollerCoaster Tycoon 3, many of them much more complex than the ones we rode in Florida!

On the PS2 William and I have The Simpsons Game, Pro Evolution Soccer 2008 (although Will plays on this one more than I do), The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion The Witch and The Wardrobe, Eragon, and Monsters Inc. Scare Island.

I have a very large Hornby model railway which takes up most of the play room.

It is laid out on a pre-2007 track mat on MDF boards and decorator's pasting tables and comprises my original Mallard set extended with track packs, tunnels and buildings. It looks like a 1940s LNER shunting yard.

I have 3 controllers, one for each track loop, and have rigged up lights inside each of my buildings. Sometimes I change the siding setup and it can get VERY fiddly.

I am a sixer in the Liphook Downlands Cub Scout pack. Last year (2007) was the Centenary of Scouting and in May I went to the South East Hampshire Centenary Camp at Hayling Island, which was very muddy and cow patty! Camp was abandoned on the Sunday because, on top of the rain, high winds and the cold, there was a severe weather warning! To make up, we had another camp in September at Rogate. William and I also went to the Sunrise Celebration at Butser Hill in August, celebrating the first Scout camp held on Brownsea Island on 1st August 1907. It was a very early start, but it was a beautiful morning.

Already this year, William and I have taken part in the Annual Cub Scout Tracking Competition at Rogate campsite, and later this month we will be going to a cub camp in the New Forest.

When I grow up I want to be an architect. I like drawing and designing things. With one of my friends I am creating a 'line art gallery', which mainly consists of parabolas and, rather strangely, other things drawn completely out of straight lines. I also like to design and build spaceships and bases from LEGO.

My favourite school subjects are Science, DT (design & technology), Mathematics and Art.

I don't like sport as much as William, but I am taking fencing lessons with Godalming Fencing Club.

If you are interested, I have a lot more pictures in 'My gallery' and on my 'Rollercoasters'  page.

COMING SOON: Rollercoasters Xtreme. A new page showing rollercoaster designs that I've created.
