Mhairi was born on 16th May just two days before Corrie so we had both foalings over quite quickly. She was a very compact little foal and very shy and it was some time before I managed to handle her. Polo Mints worked in the end! She was only shown once as a foal perhaps because we could never catch her in time but as a yearling she did very well at all the shows and was virtually unbeaten and gained a Reserve Championship. In 1996,1999,and 2000 she was 3rd, 1st and 2nd all in the Yeld Mare classes at the Royal Highland Show. She also delighted us by winning the Overall Championship at the National Stallion Show in 2000. Our plans for her are to put her in foal and who knows she may be back at the Royal Highland winning more prizes! As with most of our ponies we also enjoy riding them so none of them have had lots of foals or in Mhairi's case any at all.
