Dark Mouse Dun filly Born April 1999 Sire: Glen Aigas Dam: Midge of Achnacarry
Rowan was born on 28th April at Pitmenzie and as she was Midge's first foal we were excited to see what she would produce. We weren't disappointed when we saw Rowan she was very compact and although small - very nice and even better she was mouse dun. She hasn't been shown much but she was 5th prize foal at the Royal Highland Show and was Reserve Champion Foal at the Tayside Foal Show. As she was smaller than some we didn't show her much as a yearling and in 2001 with the country being hit with foot and mouth like every one else we were mostly at home. Hopefully in 2002 we will get her out to one or two shows. Plans for the future may be having her broken to saddle then later on breeding from her.
