In the evening from Wed - Sun why not pop in for a chat, a game of darts, dominoes or cards, or bring your own game if you feel inclined to do so. Back in the days when there were two darts teams we won an award for being the friendliest team in the league, of which we are very proud and which is now displayed above the fireplace in the bar.

Much memorabilia is displayed in and around the bar which includes a photo of the village football team c 1920 and an inventory from the early 1900s. If your ancestors lived in the village, you may find what you are looking for in some of the information that we have archived which includes copies of the census and various maps from the mid 1800’s. Why not book a guided walk of the village with our resident local history student, who knows, you may be able to gaze upon the actual house that your ancestor lived in.

Whatever your reason for coming here, you can be assured of a warm welcome from the family team and a truly Unique visit one not to be missed as due to new regulations places like ours are disappearing fast.
