Beale park 2002.
In 2002 I did some work experience at Beale park in Lower Basildon, Berkshire, I was only supposed to stay for 2 weeks but ended up staying for more like 5 because I really enjoyed it, here are some of my favourite photos from my time spent there.
This first photo is of a litter of Gloucestershire old spot piglets which I think were no more then 48hrs old in this photo and so cute! The second is of a Snowy owl, I managed to take this photo through the bars. These are one of the birds I always remembered seeing here as a child.
Inside the Blue and Gold macaw aviary we managed to get some great photos, when it rained they would sometimes hang like this with their wings open. The second photo here is of a young Laysan teal which was being reared "behind the scenes" I used to love these little ducks because sometimes their curiosity got the better of them and they forgot they were scared of you, this one in the photo is peering nosily at the camera.
There were some hot days while I worked at Beale park and this little Meerkat has flaked out for the afternoon! (no its not dead!)
