It was 1995 when I bought the old shale F2 from World No1 Rob Speak.The picture above shows it less engine and box when bought from Rob.

The image above shows my early days racing this car at Bolton.

The problem was that this car was not too good on tarmac tracks . See the video page for the full footage of this rollover.

Same car but different paint job and more at home on the shale of the Stoke track. The car was nicknamed "Thomas the Tank" by world No 1 Rob Speak.

The tank was finally replaced by a more competitive car without the beam front axle.
