Harold Pollitt
Harold Pollitt started his racing career in 1970 at the Salford Albion
Stadium.
A regular article in the race meeting programme included a section about the
drivers called "Behind the Goggles"
The images below show the article on Harold.



The local newspaper at that time took a great interest in the sport, often
reporting on the progress. Images below show some of these early prints.


Harold raced along side many friends in the Hell drivers days. The team at
Flixton consisted of three brothers Alan, Mike and Paul Reece, with others such
as Ken Leadbeater, Ray Harding. Some of them are shown below with machanics
Bob Eaton, Lazlo, Terry and Nige.

The image below shows the after effects of the Destruction Derby won by
Harold at White City Stadium. The damage resulted in a bad leg injury.
