Welcome

Pollitt Pages

This Website has been created to show some of the past and present images of the Stock Car racing history of the Pollitt family and some of their friends.

The Stock Car racing of the Pollitt family started back in 1970's at the Northern tracks mostly run by the Mike Parker Promotions. This included such tracks as Salford Albion Stadium, Nelson, Rochdale, Stoke, and the White City Stadium in Manchester.

Back in 1970 they started with the Hell Drivers following with a stint at the newly formed Brisca formual 2 stock cars. This was followed by a with few year break, returning in the mid 1980's to help with fellow racer of the 70's and long time friend Paul Blything, where this took us into the Brisca formula 1's.

It was the in the late 1980's that Paul allowed me to try my hand as a return favour for the all the support that Harold had given through his years of racing.

It was in may 1987 that I had my first ever attempt at racing in a contact sport, using Paul's Brisca F1.

It was almost 8 years later in 1995 that I finally had my chance to race on a regular basis when I bought my own Stock car (Formula 2).

Racing the Brisca F2's from 1995 came to end in 2000.

The racing bug had not been put to rest, and the Rebels formula was the obvious choice for a driver who's only pit crew were going to be 9 and 11 years old.
