A quick check of my headline figures for February indicates a drier and warmer month than average. Mean air temperature at 4.6 °C is up +1.5°C on norm; air temperature only dipped below zero on one day (15th) and recorded rainfall is approx. 81% of norm.

Despite the weather warnings this coastal area again largely escaped the wintry conditions experienced inland and at higher levels - with almost 8 hours of bright sunshine recorded here today and the temperature reaching 7.5°C just after mid-day.
