Perch - Fish scale

A triangular scale with rows of spines at its blunt apex and six lobes extending to the lower edge. The whole of the scale is covered in fine radial striations. Compare this image with the dover sole scale. Balsam Post cover, issue No. 46, January 2000. Printed on green paper.
