Sales and Wants

This section is for anyone wishing to buy or sell microscopy-related items. Please email details of your sales or wants and feel free to include a picture, or pictures, of the item. You may, if you wish, also include phone or postal contact information. Adverts will be left for approximately 6 months, after which time they can be renewed by a further request. It would be useful if advertisers could advise me when adverts are no longer required and also if there is a change of e-mail address.

Sales

Attention UK Reichert owners, I recently bought a second-hand wooden microscope box that was locked but had no key. After failing to get it open myself, I got the local locksmith to open it and cut a couple of keys.
It's for a Reichert stand and the magnification card says Stativ Nr. 224919 (I know that 'Stativ' means stand). I reckon from the values listed on the card that this stand was/is a stereo. The slide-in lens-holder blocks are missing but the original black-painted wooden arm-rests are there, one racked to each side of the box interior. The box has '1809' hand-written on its door in black felt-tip marker.
I bought this box to house a Leitz black Laborlux stand but it's in such good condition that I'm reluctant to cut it about. Instead, I've developed this ridiculously romantic ambition to reunite the box and its 'proper' stand.
So, if you're out there, owner of Reichert stand nr. 224919, please contact me and let's see if we can do a deal. All I want is a box for my Leitz and to cover my key-cutting expenses. (Other Reichert stereo owners, please stand back!).
