I love the Preston website !I have a great interest in Preston because I used to go and stay with a Aunt in the early seventies and have some great memories, but no photos of these great times!! The house was no 7,Fenton Road,Fulwood. At the top of the road was a lovely shop owned by a Glynn Jones. The road was Watling Street Road .Better still there was a fabulous fish shop on Watling Street Road, almost opposite the barracks? The man in that shop gave you some chips on a stick and called it a "hot lolly" I used to go in the town centre(you are a city now?)and I remember seeing some kind of shop with lots of umbrellas in the window?Of course the market was great, the hotpot pies delicious and the people very friendly. The bus station was enormous too! Thanks for the memories and I would love to order some photos but the link was broken .
