Moffat is approximately one hour's drive from either Edinburgh or Glasgow. Leave the M74 / A74(M) at Junction 15 and follow the signs to the town for about one mile.

If coming from the South, Moffat is 44 miles north of Carlisle and a 20 minute drive from Dumfries.

The plan

Saturday: Arrive at the B&B around 4-5pm (or whatever time suits you). We are all booked in under 'The Bass Guitar Event'.

Meet in the bar of the Balmoral to enjoy a few drinks (soft or otherwise) before dinner.

Our table is booked at the local curry house for 9.30pm, and is about 2 minute’s walk from the B&B. Like Last time its being run as a Buffet, which worked out very well

They do a fine nosebag and offer some top vegetarian options.

Then it’s back to the Balmoral Hotel for a few whiskeys.

Sunday: Head down to the hall with some bass gear and the mother of all hangovers.

Things kick off around 10am, and wind down around 4.30pm. Feel free to depart as and when you see fit.

As its only a limited number of people (and after a night out we all know each other), its a very relaxed atmosphere.

Sunday lunch is a visit to the superb local sandwich shop (dont forget your name badge to get your discount..)

It’s another convenient 2-minute walk away, and a good excuse for a break from the bass noise.
