A modern pub owned by the Workers Beer Company; information about them is in a picture frame next to the loos. Very yuppie pub, with wooden tables, chairs and floorboards. Unlike most yuppie places this place has some well kept ales, and a good choice of authentic lagers on draught and a good pub atmosphere. Conservatory and beer garden popular with families. A very different pub from most in this guide but a change is as good as a rest, as they say. How about reasonable beer prices, for the workers! Time Out sums this pub up best, more new labour than old labour.

John 8.5/10 visit May 2005

Modern décor with ochre walls, mauve pillars and a granolithic bar. Good range of real ale and continental lagers. I quite like it ! Big conservatory area at the rear as well as a beer garden.

Very, very interesting pub by the common. As you enter loads of artefacts are hanging from the ceiling. The gents toilet had a very strong smell but the 2 real ales on tap made up for it. It’s a pub full of momentos.

Hanging baskets of flowers and benches outside, with a small beer garden at the rear. Old pictures of Clapham, beer mats displays on the walls and a nice wooden panelled bar add to the atmosphere. Dim lighting and relaxed feel reminds a little of a Amsterdam brown café. No smoking at the bar. Still 5 handpumps, but less guest beers on this visit.

Earls Courts pubs are usually Aussie or gay, this Fullers ale and pie is a little different from most in the area. The pub, which was a bank up until 1993, is not as large as it looks and can get crowded very quickly. The décor inside is green with prints on the walls and a beer patio at the back. From Earls Court tube station take the Earls Court Road entrance, and turn right to get to this pub. Good bar service and an excellent pint. London Pride was £3.30 a pint.

Non-match days the pub, like the cobbled street on Billing Road, has a strange rural feel to it for a city pub. This is a brave venture. The bar lives up to its name, there's not a known beer brand in sight. The beer comes from micro breweries all over the world. They probably think Fullers are to big a brewery! I hate to think what happens when your average Stella drinker comes in here! The pub is small with a modern décor, low lighting and a few sofas, creating a cosy atmosphere, with 'cool' jazz music in the background! Expensive, but the slogan on the former beer menu is 'Drink Less, Drink Better'. Beers on the blackboard above the bar, now. Opens 18--00 on weekdays and 13-00 on weekends. Not easy to get to ( the 77 bus from Waterloo station to Clapham Junction station stops outside) but it is worth the effort, if you are a fan of good beer from around the world. Young's pub by the River Thames (well it's across the road ). Well known in London for its live jazz which is held in a separate part of the pub. Admission is charged for the music. Pub has been done out since my last visit 10 years ago, in what I call 'Young's yuppie style'. There is a nice traditional part by the fireplace with pictures of old Barnes, with is now a non-smoking area. Nice Bass brewery mirror in the main bar. Good choice of malt whiskies above the bar.

A attractive wood-panelled pub close to Richmond rugby ground. The pub has a lot of rugby memorabilia like shirts and pictures-even on the ceiling!. The pub can get crowded on match days, but is cosy and intimate on other days. Different drinking areas and alcoves including a conservatory area at the back with table football.

Pub which was crowded, with dim lighting. Nice sectioned-off areas, with glass-panelled screens. Rugby shirts and badges displayed. Nice bar area in semi-circular shape (though service slow!) Nice pub with pretty plants.

Popular upmarket riverside pub which spills out to the riverside terrace in the summer, if the river levels will let you! Its plastic glasses which you want to drink outside in the summer. Inside is an island bar with several drinking areas, including a lounge upstairs with plush furniture and some nice prints. Whilst this place is a ' license to print money' it’s a well run place, with good service.

Pub done out in a gastro-pub style- well it is Richmond! Nice low ceiling, place with bags of atmosphere; there's a conservatory area at the back of the pub along with a beer garden and a restaurant upstairs. Pub is down a residential back street near to the River Thames. Food include fresh mussels.

Two different drinking areas in this out of town centre pub owned by Gale's of Horndean. The front area is mock-Tudor, with brass plates on the wall and jugs. Good friendly atmosphere from locals, watching horse racing on TV. The back area is a quiet non-smoking area, with ashtrays! Beer garden at the back.

Young's pub at road junction a fair way from the town centre. A large but cosy pub, with lots of different drinking areas, including a non-smoking area and a bleached pine front bar. Nice cosy wood-panelled décor and old prints on the wall. Thai food served, which might explain the Singh beer!

Used to be the Windsor Castle. I can see why it's now called the Little Windsor, as it's a nice intimate place. Barebrick walls, red carpet, and dim lighting makes for a nice atmosphere. Sport on TV, including racing and sky sports which are not too loud. Beer garden out the back with decking and friendly greyhound in the pub which was here on my last visit, honest! Paintings for sale by a local artist, on the walls.

Young's back street local, which still has a public bar and lounge bar.  It is nicely decorated in the lounge bar with a green and white theme, old photos of Sutton and some nice lighting, making for a cosy atmosphere. A raised and lower level seating area plus the ground, gives you three different drinking areas. The pub also has a public bar and beer garden. Good pub, good pint.
