                     Rosie and Solo's eccentric daughter...

Pussini Amazing Grace

This lively, Sorrel aby was born in 2004.  She is Rosie's final kitten and has her mum's extrovert personality.

Amazing Grace earned her name by miraculously surviving a series of freak accidents while still a tiny baby, one of which left her with a slightly 'deformed' front leg.

Her sheer strength of character and fighting
spirit got her through with the aid of intensive nursing, inspired veterinary care and many sleepless nights with her 'mum'!

Gracie is a great character who enjoys life to the full.  Having been 'hand-reared' she earned a permanent place in the household as a neuter simply because I couldn't bear to part with her!

Tara (blue Abyssinian)
(Emarelle Moriarty x Ch. Emarelle Marianne)

'Tara', the Pussini foundation queen,
was born in 1989 and 'reigned supreme' for 18 years and 7 months, founding the Pussini Abyssinians.  She was a great character, so full of love, spirit and tenacity.  'Tara' means 'star' and she shone like the very brightest and when she passed away after a short illness, she left the world a darker place for all those who knew and loved her.    I am so grateful to Bernadette Hawkings,
her breeder, for trusting me with this beautiful girl; she will always hold a very special place in my heart.

Beautiful and purring loudly to the end.

Magnificat with his mum, Tara Dec. 2007

Grand Premier Pussini Magnificat

9.2.91. - 1.1.09.

Usual Aby
(Ch. & Pr. Jowetta Myohnie x Ch. Pussatilla Tarantelle)

The first Pussini kitten to be born, Magnificat was a 'poser' from the start and always loved people, cuddles and just being the centre of attention!

Magnificat lived up to his name for nearly 18 wonderful years and adored and was adored in equal measure. My bond with him was truly unique. He bravely fought chronic pancreatis for several months but it was with great sadness that we eventually had to say 'goodbye' on New Year's Day 2009.  He is deeply missed.

In his younger days he had a sparkling show career, achieving both his Premier and Grand Premier titles in 3 consecutive shows.  Among several Best in Show awards he
was the overall winner at the Abyssinian Cat Association and Somali Cat Club Show in 1994.

He was best known for his fantastic temperament, wonderful rich colour and huge ear tufts.  But most of all just for being a great big cuddly dope!   To know him was to love him.   My magnificent boy was so special.   I feel deeply honoured to have shared such a magnificent life.

Tara's beautiful daughter....

Amadea with her 'opera' litter, who grew up to be known
as Ch. Pussini  Tosca, Gr. Pr. Pussini Radames and
Gr. Ch. Pussini Carmen.  Quite a legacy!

Amadea was taken suddenly ill in May 1995 and died within hours of bacterial meningitis.  It was a tragic and sad loss of such a beautiful girl in the prime of life.

Just too young and too beautiful.

Ch. Pussini Amadea

5.12.91. - 26.5.95.

(Blue Abyssinian)

Amadea was born on Mozart's bicentenary day (her brother is called Mozart!) on 5 December 1991.   Her beautiful gentle nature matched her elegance.   She had two lovely litters of kittens including Pussini Tango, Gr. Ch. Pussini Carmen and Ch. Pussini Tosca, all of whom passed her genes on to gorgeous offspring of their own and helped develop the Pussini and Charriet lines.

  Tosca's fawn son...

Fawn William comforts his young
niece, Rosie.  He was always a big
soft boy with a very gentle nature
and loved playing and sleeping with
kittens. He was like a big overgrown
kitten himself;  a true gentle giant.

Premier Pussini Fawn William

(Ch. Charriet Copernicus x Ch. Pussini Tosca)

20.1.97.-14.12.04.

In memory of my beautiful fawn boy
, the 'gentle giant', Fawn William.

Gone but never forgotten.

After a long struggle to combat urinary tract disease, he suffered acute renal failure following surgery.    He deserved so much more....

Fawn William relaxing with his best 'pal', Magnificat.
Always asleep together, they were joint masters of
relaxation.  His gentle, cuddly nature is missed by
humans and felines alike.

Fawn William made his mark on the showbench, helping Fawn Abyssinians gain Championship status and becoming one of the first Fawn Premiers.  He also achieved a Grand Premier Certificate and a Reserve Grand.

Tosca's beautiful Fawn daughter..

Pr. Pussini Fawntasia

7.4.86. - 28.1.09.

Fawntasia was the first ever Pussini Fawn Abyssinian.   I had waited several years for a fawn and knew from the moment she was born, that we were to stay together.   A slightly shy girl, she was a real sweetheart from the start and grew into a beautiful girl, who gained confidence with age, but remained so gentle and loving.   Her breeding days were short, only producing 2 sorrel kittens including Ch. Pussini Cimarosa.

On the show bench Fawntasia often appeared alongside her brother Fawn William.  Together they became 'Qualifiers' in the Fawn Aby's bid to gain Championship Status.  On 2.9.2000. Fawntasia became the first ever GGCF Fawn Abyssinian Female Premier. She then retired from the show bench to enjoy a quiet life at home, often being the first to welcome visitors with her resounding purr.

Early in Jan.2009 Fawntasia was diagnosed with a tumour, which proved very aggressive. She remained well and happy for 3 weeks, purring almost continuously.   Her health declined very suddenly and she was gently put to sleep on 28.1.09.  She was aged 12yrs, 9 mnths, 21 days.  I had hoped and expected to have her for much longer.

My sensitive girl was as
gentle and loving as her looks were beautiful.

Her purr will echo forever in my heart.

Fawntasia's golden daughter....

Champion Pussini Cimarosa

26.10.98.- 22.2.09.
Sorrel Aby
(Annera Sugarfoot Stomp x Pr. Pussini Fawntasia)

My 'golden girl', Rosie was born in 1998 and produced 14 very friendly, elegant kittens of great character, latterly with Solo.  Her extrovert, confident personality shone as brightly as her beautiful golden coat.

Rosie - always beautiful and elegant

Rosie enjoying her young days with
four of her boisterous kittens, Elgar,
Enigma, Nimrod, and Dorabella.

Rosie never believed in taking life at a leisurely pace and was always a 'busy' energetic girl with great personality.   She loved and lived life to the full, retaining her elegant looks and figure. She could head-butt for Abyssinia and regularly 'stapled' me to the chair in her enthusiastic gushes of affection!

My golden girl, forever in my heart

Rosie developed beautiful green eyes as she matured, earning one of her nick-names 'my green-eyed loon'!
She was also known as 'Nosy Rosie' due to her habit of spying on the neighbours and never missing anything!

In February 2009, Rosie's health suddenly declined and in 2 short weeks my effervescent 'Tigger' lost her characteristic bounce.  She was diagnosed with renal failure and although we fought so hard to save her, we had to say 'goodbye' on 22 February 09.

She was aged just 10 years, 3 months and 27 days; we shared too short a time.
Cruelly taken in the prime of life but never to be forgotten.
