Misfit and Winston

Misfit was the single baby of a 8 year old crossbred rabbit that lived in the

greenhouse and ran around the garden all day. However Guiness the French lop

escaped out of his run one day and Misfit was the result. When her mother died

I bought Winston who is a British Giant and had him neutered so she wouldn't have to live alone.

 

Winston and Misfit are now aging fast and Winston is getting very wobbly on his back legs.

When let out of their run they travelled about 3ft away and they just stayed together

Misfit not leaving his side for a moment.

For days after Winston died Misfit looked lost and miserable.

I then visited the local Rabbit Rescue and found Otis a neutered buck.

He had been taken to the rescue with two does who bullied him.

I brought him home and introduced him to Misfit.

They bonded straight away and Misfit became her old self again.

Sadly Misfit died of old age on New years Day 2007

Think the fireworks on New years Eve may have contributed to this.

 Otis is now living with a black French lop doe which

was unsuitable for breeding.
