Information for Owners/Trainers Considering Rehoming a Racehorse through our Centre

All horses gifted to the centre are rehomed to permanent loan homes only: we do not sell horses on behalf of owners.

We aim to match prospective carers that are able to offer a permanent, secure, knowledgeable home to a deserving partner.

All homes are vetted prior to arrangement and references are required before the loan agreement is signed.

What we are offering is the possibility of finding a suitable owner for the horse that can no longer race through injury or has just not made the required grade.

All we ask is:-

That the horses are;

Of good temperament.

A pleasure to handle

Are sensible in traffic.

A donation fee towards rehabilitation

Full Medical history

Condition of gifting contract.

Most of the prospective carers are looking for a hack / riding club horse. So far all the carers found have become very good personal friends and regular contact is kept.
