2007 News It is not often that one of Europe's leading horse masters
and stunt team land on your doorstep but this was the case for us in
early April.
Six horses were used for the commercial, including the amazing stallion Dante, better known as the Black Horse in the Lloyds TSB Ads. He was accompanied by another stallion Byron as well as stable mates Scooby Doo, Toro, Raphael, and Tarantino who all proved to be "absolute gentlemen." )
We were invited to the set at Dillington House, Illminster to watch the advert being filmed. The advert which promotes Florence and Fred clothing for Tesco, shows a lady riding a black horse through woods and rivers, getting her dress covered in mud before changing into a new dress and making an entrance into a dinner party.
The Devils Horsemen are based in Buckinghamshire and were founded by Gerard Naprous. After more than 30 years in the film and show business industries, Gerard's reputation for outstanding displays of horsemanship has won him respect as one of Europe's leading horse masters, stuntmen and stunt coordinators. His work has been featured in many box office and TV hits which include Robin Hood Prince of Thieves and Braveheart. Daniel Naprous, son of Gerard who accompanied the horses, is himself well known in the film industry, having featured in The World is not enough – 007, Don Quixote, First Knight, Merlin, London’s Burning and Zorro. |
