CARRICK TROOP
- "TROOPS"
Troops originally came in with Maceo. Both horses were a little
undernourished but Troops being on the large side looked like a
hat rack on legs. With the timely request to do a feed study by
Winergy Troops was the perfect candidate.
The results speak for
themselves.
Despite being a middle aged gentleman of 15 Troops was not for the
novice rider. Forward going and a little spooky at times and of
course a good 17.1 in height. Finding him a home proved more difficult
than we thought, either prospective riders were not keen on his
height and age, or they were not that experienced with their riding.
So biding our time in the hope that the right person would come
along, we decided to see how he liked the idea of Trailing. He was
brilliant, going with another first timer Corrib Eclipse who also
excelled. The only down side was that he didn't stop bouncing and
dropped a considerable amount of weight during his short trip out.
Eventually Katie found
us and so found Trooper and together with partner Lee, two rescue
dogs, and Ryan, who could be welsh x, has moved to the Midlands.
