Players on equal scores will be ranked by the secondary “Bloodpoint” system:- Your army not broken; Opponents army broken 100 – % your Element Equivalents losses All other cases % opponents Element Equivalent losses
· There will be no time limit for games played on the first day. · First round random draw will be made at 08:55 games to be started as soon as possible afterwards. · All games to be played to a conclusion, except that players may agree to stop a game at any time after 4 hours, and submit the score at that point. · Last bounds to be called at 16:45, play on to the end of the defenders bound. · On completion of each game players must complete a results sheet and hand this to the control desk. They will then be paired with the next available opponents and may start the game immediately. · There is no limit to the number of games which may be played during the day.
The intention is to encourage quick play so that players who complete more games can score higher points.
· The match up of opponents for each game will be according to the following rules:- - No-one will play an opponent more than once during the weekend - No-one will play another member of their team - No-one will play another player from the same club during the first day - The pairings which meet these criteria will be selected from the following sequence 1. The higher overall placed players from each game play each other and the lower overall placed players from each game play each other. 2. Reverse the above pairings 3. If one of the original pairings is permitted these play, the other 2 players wait for the next available opponents 4. If one of the reversed pairings is permitted these play, the other 2 players wait for the next available opponents. 5. Wait for the next available opponents who will run through the above options with the waiting pairs of players in order of who has been waiting the longest. - Reserve players will be available to ensure that no player waits for more than 30 minutes for an opponent. · No new games to start after 15:15 at which time reserve players will be introduced to allow waiting players another game if they want one. - Sandwiches and drinks may be ordered at registration, which will be delivered to tables at lunchtime in order to not waste time. · On the second day two games will be played. · The draw will be based on the traditional swiss chess system based on overall position at the time of the draw. · First Game Start 08:45 Last Bound called at 12:00 · Second Game Start 13:15 Last Bound called at 16:30 · Prizes will be awarded to 1st, 2nd & 3rd place.
