Rarescale Flute Academy was formed in September 2007 as a flute ensemble which trains university students in specialist alto and bass technique, and also gives players the opportunity to learn music management and promotion skills.  Associated with the contemporary music ensemble, rarescale, the group’s repertoire ranges from standard to contemporary, including a number of works composed and arranged specially for the ensemble.

Still very much in its early stages, the group has performed in London, Norfolk, Nottingham and Manchester and comprises players from around the country with ages ranging from 18 to 28.

If you are interested in joining, please contact Carla for further information about auditions.

rarescale is currently raising £3000 to purchase more alto and bass flutes.
