After over forty years making railway models and constructing layouts in OO and N gauges, I received a copy of TRAINZ Railway Simulator 2004 for my 75th birthday.
After “playing” with the built-in layouts and designing my own - no longer constricted by considerations of size! -I decided to contribute a ground texture to the TRAINZ Download Station and submitted one based on my own photograph of a field of oilseed rape in Lincolnshire.
I was taken aback by the interest shown in this simple texture - over 6000 downloads to date - and decided to contribute more textures, and later on virtual models of buildings and railway structures using TRAINZ Asset Creation Studio.
My textures will be found in Surveyor under REW but scenery objects and splines are listed under DUKES DENVER DESIGNS - I have used the name Dukes Denver for several N gauge layouts over the years.
