The Avenues of Rotary service;
Membership Services;
This committee looks after the welfare of the club, social activites for members and their
partners, which unclude visits to places of interest, theatres, museums,factories, bowls,
snooker, trips at home and abroad etc.
It also looks after communications within the club including the monthly bulletin.
International Service;
Provides help and support to areas of the world in need due to poverty, health or disaster.
Such examples are; sending discarded spectacles to third world countries, disaster boxes for
homeless people, water aid programmes, doctor volunteering, sightsaver programmes and
sending used books to oversees schools and libraries etc.
Vocational Service;
Seeks to provide support for ventures which will benefit the well-being of people in society.
for example; visits to industry, mock interviews for job candidates and schoolchildren,
development and support training, public speaking competitions, school debates, young chef
competitions etc.
Community Service;
Providing help and assistance to the local community, the elderly, disadvantaged and those
with special needs. By, direct service, fund raising and donations, providing drug and
alcohol awareness and helping local crime prevention.
Rotary Foundation;
This is the Rotary charity and possibly the largest educational charity in the world.
Its object is the achievement of world peace and understanding through humanitarian and
educational programmes. The committee guides the club in the collection and allocation of
funds.
Youth Activities;
This committee maintains contact with Rotaract and Interact clubs and youth organisations.
they organise 'Worldwide' youth exchange. Developing youth leadership skills, and youth
skills competitions.
