RIBBLESDALE'S CENTENARY PROJECT

To mark the 100 years since the founding of Rotary, on the 23rd of February 2005, we produced and erected a plinth by the river Ribble at Edisford, which comprises both local limestone and sandstone donated by Castle Cement Ltd and Aggregate Industries Ltd
It incorporates a stainless steel plate engraved with a picture of the whole of the river Ribble and all the points of interest on its route.
Edisford is a very popular place for both locals and visitors and the location of the plinth means
that it will be seen by thousands of people over the years and give much pleasure to everyone.
This will be a lasting tribute to Rotary International founded by Paul Harris in Chicago 1905.
