RCTrainingWales provides practical training in vital outdoor skills -  for Professionals, Leaders or Perfectionist Walkers who lead groups in Wild Country and lowland areas.

We also produce specialised training courses for military, rescue and police units in Wild Country Areas

Outdoor First Aid Training - We are approved providers for WERS - (Wild Country Emergency Response) Outdoor First Aid training courses - where the emphasis is to produce leaders who can deal efficiently with delayed care emergency situations.

WERS1 - (1 Day) - Emergency First Aid for Expedition Leaders A one day practical course focusing on first responder skills - the skills required to deal with a life-threatening incident when an experienced First Aider is not available.

WERS2 - (2  Day) - Expedition Immediate Care Rapidly becoming a Benchmark Course - A two day course for group leaders, outdoor enthusiasts and outdoor professionals. Promotes awareness of delayed medical help and adverse environmental conditions. It is the minimum level of First Aid training recognised by the MLTUK, BCU, BASI, ASSI, BOF and most other governing bodies.

WERS3    (3 - Day) - Advance Expedition Remote Trauma Ideal for expedition medics, Gap Year Students, Expedition Leaders, and all who wish to extend their skills beyond Emergency/First Aid - Includes Advanced Shock Management (IV Cannulas, Fluids)
Advanced Wound Management (Steri Strips & Suturing)  Guidel/Nasal Airways etc. (One Day Conversion from
WERS2 - WERS3 available)

WERS 4 - (5 Day) - Wilderness Emergency Technician Course    (WEMT) - IHDC RCS First Person on Scene Intermediate Award & HSE FAW. Ideal for Remote Travelers, Close Protection Officers, NGOS, Oil and Gas Companies, Offshore Medics etc.

WERS12 - (2-day) Firearms Trauma - To provide a realistic expectation of the role of firearms officer in emergency trauma circumstances - a practical extension to WERS2 - Details on request only from authorised and verifiable sources
