Previous R.A. Events

"The May Ball" was held on the 19th May 2007 - It was "a sell out" with 60 dances attending from as far as the Netherlands. It was held in the Garrick ball room within the George hotel Lichfield Staffordshire. Many of our members arrived by horse and carriage whilst everyone were greeted with a complimentary glass of wine upon entering the ball room. An authentic period silver service buffet was served. Fresh flowers adorned every table with a large bouquet of flowers at the end of the hall.

Dancing commenced after the buffet, with several readings from the novelist Jane Austen being provided by our members. Dance mistress: Cathy Greenhill ensured everyone was kept on their feet whilst, music was provided by John Harvey and the Bath Ensemble. The Master of Ceremony's was Andrew Rawe. A comment from a dancer summed up the event as; "an evening full of elegance, style and entertainment".
