October -- Alan Duguid appointed MD --Having conducted the band over the summer as Guest MD the band are pleased to announce that this arrangement has now been made permanent with Alan agreeing to take up the position of musical Director, both Alan and the band are looking forward to working together.

May -- New CD "Score!" released

April -- Richard Ward has stepped down as MD at Regent Brass.

Richard Ward has stood down from the role of Musical Director at Regent Brass, after three years with the band
Announcing his departure on 4BarsRest, Regent Chairman Adrian Parker said "Richard is a first class musician and we have enjoyed working with him. Unfortunately, his growing commitments as a professional trombonist make it hard for him to devote the time we need to re-establish Regent as a competitive Championship section band."

He further added: "I would like to thank Richard for his work, including conducting a memorable double win in the Championship section at the SCABA Folkestone Contest and directing our 20th Anniversary CD, Score! , which will be released in May."
March -- Area Contest (1st Section)-- The band came a very disappointing and a little surprising 10th place. Preparation had gone pretty well with a stable band, the dreaded number one draw did not help matters though 10th was still a bit of a shock but "
if you can't take a joke don't go contesting!"

23 Jan - Congratulations to former Principal Horn player Claire Pollendine, who gave birth to a healthy 7lb baby boy ~ Ben

22 Jan - Final Tracks recorded ready for CD release in Spring 2006. The CD was Recorded and Produced by a real blast from the past, Robert Whitney. Bob was the band's Principal Tuba in the late Eighties before giving up to concentrate on his career as Sound Engineer, which has seen him work at Abbey Road and Sony Studios before setting up his own Mobile Recording Company (www.silkrecordings.com)

Congratulations to Steph Fletcher (Euph) and Alan Westwood (Tuba) who where married this year.
