The object of the charity as set down in its constitution is:

To cultivate an appreciation of theatrical arts by promoting the reading, studying and production of works of artistic merit for the educational benefit of the community of Beaumaris including the members of the charity.

In furtherance of these aims the group actively seeks to involve all members of the community in their activities by participation in a production as either an actor, designer, technician, front of house helper or audience member and attending social evenings, open workshops and auditions/rehearsals.

To ensure that all members have the opportunity to influence what productions the society stages a play reading committee has been formed to which any member can submit a play to be considered for inclusion in the forthcoming programme.

In 2005 Castle Players started a programme of drama workshops for 7-18 year olds.
