right in the heart of the National Forest. We play on two full-size lawns at
the Moira Miners Welfare Club, The Club is open to everyone, and new members are always extremely welcome. Croquet is a game for all ages and both sexes. In addition to the croquet lawns, the Club enjoys the benefits of being part of the Moira Miners Welfare Club. Croquet members are automatically eligible to use the clubhouse, where drinks are available on most days. The lawns are available for use by members at any time during the playing season (mid April to early October). The main club sessions are held on Tuesday and Thursday evenings (6.00 pm onwards) and Sunday afternoons (2.30 pm onwards), but members can play any day. Equipment is provided by the club including the use of a mallet for the first season of play - most people then prefer to purchase their own mallet. |
