Introduction to Golf Croquet

Golf Croquet takes its name from the game of golf because of the scoring system used - but that is the only similarity between the two. The game is played as singles or doubles but in either case the blue and black balls always play against the red and yellow balls. In singles, each player uses both balls, in doubles, one each. The object of the game is to make either of your balls pass through the hoops in a set order before your opponent does, with each player taking alternate shots. A hoop point is scored for the side whose ball runs a hoop in order first. The winner is the side which scores the most hoop points.

Golf Croquet (sometimes known as Garden Croquet) is very easy to learn and, as the games don't usually take very long, makes a very good social game. It can also be played at competition level where blocking tactics and jump shots are used to great effect by the skilful players.
