If I was a gourd, I'd like to say
I'm not what you see here today
I am what you see when time is gone
So look at me and think of the fun

If I was a gourd, I'd be ashamed
To think like you with shallow aim
Just look at me and make a wish
I can be anything from art to dish

If I was a gourd, I'd love to see
You smile when you look at plain ol' me
Because you and me could be a pair
And both of us could enter the county fair.
