We were very sad to hear of the death of Mick Casson on 12th December 2003.
Born in 1925 he became a major figure in the Studio Pottery movement after World War Two. Mick helped to establish the Craft Potters Association's first shop in London in 1958, then, also using his exuberant energies in education; backing this up with his practical generosity and support of so many pottery enterprises and events. He was an evangelist of the co-operative spirit, still prevalent in Studio Pottery today, to which our own organisation owes so much.
Remembered
for his generous pots and his generosity to potters.
