Robin Hood Athletic was founded in 1952 by Alan Rathmell, originally playing in the Leeds Combination League but swiftly moving up into the West Yorkshire League where they have played ever since.  The club originally played off Sharp Lane, but moved to their present ground (which was then a fallow field)  in 1968.  The grandstand was developed ten years later, and in 2003 the club purchased the whole site on the condition that it was to remain for sport and recreational use.  In 2011, after much hard work and fundraising, our on-site changing rooms were finally opened, the tea room was extended in 2014, and we now have some of the best facilities in the West Yorkshire League.

On the field, Robin Hood Athletic have never won the West Yorkshire League, but have enjoyed cup successes, most notably in the Leeds & District FA Senior Challenge Cup, which we've won on four occasions, the latest of which was in 1987.

Below is a collection of photos of Robin Hood Athletic teams and Committee members over the years.  If you've any details, particularly dates and names from any of them, please let me know.
