BADGE TEST NIGHTS

These are normally held on the last week of every month or the first week of every month if we are running a little late. We would like to make everyone aware that obtaining all the required badges does not necessarily mean the student is ready for the next available grading.

Badges are set to promote each of the fundemental exercises and/or movements within each of the grades. Each student can therefore achieve each badge in series but then has to learn to put all of these elements together, particularly during their pattern.

Some of the younger students relate getting all of their badges with being ready for a grading. In some cases this is true, especially during the early stages of TaeKwon-Do. However, the higher the grade, the more there is to learn, and there may not be a badge for every component that is examined (our belts would be down past our feet to fit them all on!).

So please just be aware that even though a student might have all their badges, there might still be a bit of work to do in other areas before they are at the required grading level.
