STINGER is the four piece rock / alt rock / post-punk covers band that is taking the world* by storm**. Playing some of the best songs of the last 30 or so years (at least, those that are to be found in the book '101 Songs for Easy Guitar') our ambition is simple: form a tight, energetic band playing hi-octane music with an edge and putting on the best show on the circuit.

Our set is packed with classic tracks from the 70s, 80s, 90s and naughties; soaring vocals, great riffs, thumpin' bass and driving rhythms abound, but with minimal levels of cheese.  We feature songs like Zombie, Sweet Child of Mine, Black Velvet and even a couple of Bond themes, plus tracks from artists such as Bon Jovi, the Cranberries, Garbage, Guns 'n' Roses, the Manic Street Preachers, Skunk Anansie and K T Tunstall.

Criteria for song selection is straightforward: Is it cool? Does it rock? And most importantly, will the audience go for it in a massive way?

Kat Vocals
The diva.  The Katmeister.  Cleopatra incarnate.  High Priestess of Those About to Rock.  

Rob Guitar
Is under the mistaken belief that if he stays still, dresses in black and wears dark glasses then no-one will notice him. (However, it's difficult to go unnoticed when you're playing the guitar solo to 'Sweet Child o' Mine' through a 100 watt Marshall amp.)

Chris Bass, Keyboards & Backing Vocals 
Quiet, shy and reserved... three words that exactly fail to describe the bald guy on the bass guitar whom we call Chris.

In accordance with European Health and Safety Legislation, audiences are warned not to stand too close to Chris whilst he is in full-on performance mode, as a large bloke with a bass guitar jumping up and down can be hazardous to your health.

James Drums
What do you call someone who hangs around with musicians? A drummer!  In our case we call him James.
