Recently I decided to remove the Harpole website due to adverse criticism from some neighbours - specifically regarding the webcam

Since doing so I have received a good deal of positive support from around the world asking that the website is re-instated. So its back!

The webcam is active also, albeit a very restricted view just to keep the peace with some neighbours, a shame, but there we go.

I plan to do a major overhaul of the site shortly.

Many thanks for all your support.

Here's just a few of the emailed comments I have received:

It was with sorrow I read that you had to discontinue the webcam.

I used to live as a girl in Larkhall lane before we came to nz in 1950. It was a breath of fresh air when I found I could visit Harpole via your page.

I look forward to you getting it back in the near future.

Rob, Thanks for taking the time to show the world Harpole village. I hope
to visit in the near future. As for that neighbor ..........................

You must be absolutely livid ...............Next time you run into him
remind him that someone in the States is watching his house from a
satellite and there is nothing he can do about it.
The world is changing, too bad it has to include people like him.

Thank you for bringing back so many memories with your tour of Harpole. I was born in Harpole and was fortunate to attend Harpole school when it was in the care of Mr. Calderwood, a headmaster who was much loved and respected by all his pupils.
