Er, 'cultured' centre-back whose dismissal at Horsham sparked a championship-saving late comeback. Was the first player to complete the double of scoring for and against Romford, having previously scored for Ford United in February 1994. Managed the step back up from the Essex Senior League despite his obvious lack of pace, to form a strong centre-back partnership with Paul Evans. Missed the presentation of the Division Two trophy because he was in the bog. Was not wanted in Division One by Les Whitton but had further success at Ford United, playing in their F A Cup tie at Preston North End. Returned to Sungate in November 2001 and helped bring experience to the defence and team spirit to the dressing room, but injuries and suspension kept him out after a couple of months. Missed a penalty in his last game at Barton. Was called up as an emergency substitute for a game at Cheshunt at Easter, but was in the pub at the time and needless to say, didn't make it to the game. Eventually moved into coaching at Barking & East Ham United.
