Late arrival in Senior football at the age of 24, from intermediate side Wanstead Town. Took a little while to find his feet with the first team but gradually turned into one of the success stories of the season in the centre of midfield. Became a cult hero with the supporters in his quest to score his first goal, finally notching with a glancing header from Craig Thomas' free-kick. Had a little spell as captain in the absence of Micky Rogan. Missed the Final of the Gordon Brasted Memorial Trophy on a pre-booked holiday. Suffered a knee injury in his first pre-season game which kept him out until October, and soon flared up again requiring an operation which would keep him out for the rest of the season.
