Joined from Aveley in the 2005 pre-season and started well in the reserves. Became only the fourth player ever to score twice on his Romford debut, both in the last four minutes as Boro came from behind to win 3-2. Was named to start in every league game for the remainder of the season, only missing the opener on his way to becoming top scorer. Went on to equal the Club record by scoring in each of his first four league appearances but later went for two months without a goal. Usually wore the ten shirt, finally managing to prompt the '10 Gallen hat-trick' headline against Stansted. Managed another, again with the 10 on his back, to move ahead of Danny Downer as the following season's top scorer, despite the considerable handicap of having spent about as much time on the bench as on the field by that point. Established his place in the first-choice strike pairing with Petrit Elbi, and overtook his previous season's tally in January. Was briefly usurped as top scorer by Elbi, responding with a four-goal show in his next match to take him to 25 for the season and Boro into the League Cup Final. Suddenly ran out of steam in front of goal and didn't score again all season, missing a penalty on the last day of the league season against Brentwood Town, and another in the penalty shoot-out against the same opposition in the League Cup Final, but still held on to the top scorer spot to become the first player ever to achieve the honour twice for Romford.
