Intended as the midfield anchor man but seemed to be more successful when drafted into the defence. Scored the goal at Hungerford that ended the Club’s longest-ever league goal drought. Was ever present until March, only missing two games in the whole of the 2001-02 season, one of those on the final day, and won the Players’ Player of the Year award. Won the hearts of football fans everywhere by accidentally kicking the referee at Molesey. Only missed three games the following season as well, and again was more effective when deployed at the back. Followed Paul Joynes back to Tilbury but didn't play much due to family commitments. Once had the rather silly idea of putting Vaseline on top of his head to act as a sun block.
