Joined from Stansted after telephoning the Club chairman, no doubt finding the journey from Harold Hill to Rush Green to be somewhat easier. Made an instant impact by setting up both goals on his debut and proved to be a driving force in midfield. Tended to get carried away with beating players then giving the ball away. Suffered a recurring foot injury at the start of the following season. Was inadvertantly responsible for a league match at Brentwood Town, in which he scored as Boro won 5-1, being ordered to be replayed as Harvey was actually suspended despite the Club having been told by Essex F A that he was clear. Had to serve a further suspension as a result, the period of which didn't actually cover any matches, but then disappeared from the scene in January 2005, expressing reservations about the arrival of the Cowley brothers in the squad. Showed his face at the Club occasionally for the remainder of the season but didn't return to the squad until the following pre-season. Scored Boro's first goal of the season for the second season running, on the opening day of the 2005-06 season at Burnham Ramblers, but quickly found himself out of favour again.
