physio 1993-95, 1997-98, 1999-2000
Originally chairman of the Supporters Club, and scored in the 4-2 win over Chelmsford City supporters at New Writtle Street at the end of the 1992-93 season. Popularly known as Papa Smurf, but was once famously described as a muppet by a linesman. Became physio early in the 1993-94 season. Chose to follow Lyndon Lynch to Barking but returned to Romford as physio for Les Whitton. Followed Whitton to Barkingside but returned to Sungate as physio for Amin Levitt. Left the Club for good when Levitt was replaced by John Bennett. Claims the unofficial record for the Club's oldest ever player, on the Isle of Wight tour in 2000 at the age of 51.
