'The ginger one from Eton Manor'. Centre-back often better known as J P. Embarrassingly raw at first and somehow kept Davey Walker out of the team, but improved considerably and came up with a few goals at set pieces. Was in line for Player of the Year in 1994-95 before moving to Purfleet - signing off with a hat-trick after being given the no. 9 shirt with both Micky Ross and Sean Junor suspended. Recent arrival at Romford of brother Danny had made them the first pair of brothers to appear in the same line-up for Boro. Sustained a back injury while at Purfleet but made a five-minute comeback for Romford under Les Whitton. Went to Leyton Pennant and then to Barkingside, during which time he registered for Romford along with several of the Barkingside squad, but never appeared.
