Midfielder whose first contribution to the Boro cause was an own goal at Sungate while playing for Aveley in the 1997-98 East Anglian Cup Final, which levelled the scores after Boro had trailed 2-0. Was signed by Amin Levitt and did his best but was only ever a squad player. Missed a penalty at Worthing as Boro went down 4-0. Was reputed to have misread a registration form while at Aveley, filling in the ‘position in club’ section (intended for the witness to the signature) with “I want to be a midfield player”. Also fell for the "watch out for wild haggis, they're dangerous" joke while preparing for a trip to Scotland. Most memorable contribution for Boro was when he was sent off in a reserve match, swearing at the ref when asked his name and having it recorded as “Mr Bollocks”, thereby facing a charge of giving a false name. Was suspended for 63 days by Essex F A.
