Former Charlton Athletic and Crystal Palace midfielder who came to Romford via Carshalton Athletic and Purfleet, after a knee injury put him out of full-time football. Was installed as captain but obviously struggled for fitness, and it was something of a surprise when Chelmsford City came in for him, soon releasing him saying that he was "not the player they thought he was". Presumably they didnít think they were signing Geoff Pitcher. Went to Bishops Stortford, but re-signed for Romford the following season as part of a block booking from Barkingside, but never appeared. Demonstrated how out of touch he was with non-League football when he blew the gaff on John Ray during the Great Ilkeston Off-Licence Heist of '99.
