Prolific striker who came from Gloucester City, to regain his sharpness following a lay-off due to an eye injury. Despite impaired vision, averaged nearly a goal a game before going to Purfleet in February 1996. Injured the other eye against Hayes in a collision with former Boro left-back Lee Flynn, and returned to Boro in September in Division Two, but was injured on his return after scoring twice against Barking. Returned several weeks later to provide another good goalscoring rate, including four in the second half against Tilbury, but left again in January for reasons never fully explained - loss of form and eyesight problems under floodlights were cited, but personality clash with the management was another theory. Is now virtually blind in one eye but probably still totally immune to even the best-worked offside trap. Scored against Boro for Fisher Athletic in 2001 pre-season and for Burnham Ramblers in 2004-05, scoring three times in two games as he led the League's scoring chart, then notching a two-minute hat-trick the followng season in an Essex Senior Cup tie.
