Centre-back for the reserves who improved beyond measure during the course of the 1998-99 season. Had a starring role in the match at Canvey when Boro were forced to field half the reserve team due to the ineligibility of recent arrivals. Once caused a lot of confusion when being cautioned in a reserve match - when asked his name by the referee he said “It’s Tel”, resulting in a booking being recorded against S Tell and problems with the league and the F A over false team sheets and unregistered players. Featured in the first team squad towards the end of the season and continued to progress the following season. Never really a first-choice player and decided to try his luck at Hertford Town in the summer of 2000, returning in September along with Jamie Dormer, from whom he was apparently inseparable. Both dismissals were for second cautions. Reluctantly stayed with Boro after Amin Levitt’s resignation but was released when the Club was suspended, rejoining Levitt at Leyton Pennant. Moved on to Barking & East Ham United (along with Dormer) and was looking to return to Boro under Paul Joynes in 2002-03 but availability was limited while 'doing the knowledge'. Probably had Dormer in the back telling him where to go. Scored against Boro for Barkingside in March 2006.
