debut Arlesey Town, Ryman League Division Two 18.8.01
Initially a central midfielder, joined from Clapton and scored a spectacular long-range goal in his first pre-season in the Wembley Cup fixture at home to Bromley, although he never found the net in competitive action. Dropped back into defence as the season went on and was becoming a key player when he broke three toes in a match against Tilbury at Barking in February 2002. Returned for the start of Boro's Essex Senior League return and was a staple of the defence for long periods. Versatility was such that he could possibly have played in every position on the pitch for Romford, indeed his most notable contribution to the record breaking defensive run towards the end of the season came when he played almost half a match in goal at Ilford, replacing the injured Marc Baker, and kept a clean sheet despite never having previously gone in goal in his life. Fell out of favour under Mark Reed but has stayed loyal to the Club and still a regular fixture in the reserve squad. Famously compiled a considerable dossier on Newport Pagnell Town for Boro's successful F A Vase visit in 2005-06.
